Frequently Asked Questions:

If you have any additional questions that were not answered here, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I am more than happy to support you in any way I can.

How do I get started?

If you are interested in getting more information or would like to get a better sense of me and how I work, I offer a free 15-minute initial consultation phone call where we can briefly discuss your needs and see if we might work well together.

Do you accept insurance?

I am not affiliated with any insurance companies. If you are interested in using your insurance, please contact your insurance company directly and inquire if they provide partial reimbursement for an out-of-network mental health provider for the following service codes:

  • 90791 Psychiatric Diagnostic Evaluation

  • 90834 Psychotherapy

  • 90847 Family Psychotherapy, conjoint psychotherapy (for couples and families)

I provide you with monthly paperwork called a superbill to submit to for reimbursement. Alternatively, you may also be able to use a health savings account (HSA) or flexible spending account (FSA) to pay for therapy. I invite you to call your insurance company to inquire about and fully understand your out of network benefits:

  • Do I have (out-of-network) mental health insurance benefits?

  • What is my deductible and has it been met? If not, what is the remaining deductible?

  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?

  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?

  • Is any approval required in order to receive reimbursement?

  • What is the process for submitting superbills? Approximately what is the estimated time for reimbursement?

What are your fees?

My fees vary depending on if you are inquiring as an individual, a couple, or a family. I offer a specific amount of sliding scale fees on a reparations based model. Contact me to discuss my fees or to inquire about my sliding scale availability.

What is your cancellation policy?

I have a 48 hour notice for cancellations, otherwise you are responsible for the full cost of your session. There is no charge if you cancel with less than 48 hours notice and we are able to reschedule your session for the same week. I always offer the option to switch to a phone or virtual session. Please note that insurance companies generally do not reimburse you for missed session fees.

Do you offer in-person and video sessions?

Yes, I offer both in-person and teletherapy options available at my practice.
